Mourning Midwife

Land Acknowledgement

This work takes place on Treaty 6 territory. I live and work here as a guest, on lands that have long held ceremony, grief, healing and collective care. Guided by my own ancestors, and by the spirit of this land The Mourning Midwife understands care as something we hold collectively-especially in times of loss, and dying. Our work is offered with deep reverence, responsibility, and a commitment to learning how to care well while being in good relationship

Mourning Midwife is an offering of end-of-life, grief, and community care rooted in presence, dignity, and relationship. It brings together decades of professional expertise in community work, palliative care, collective grief practice, and accompaniment —  offering  care for individuals, families, and organizations navigating death, loss, and transition.

My work is shaped by the communities I have walked alongside, the losses witnessed, and the life I continue to live as a Mother, a Gigi, a Partner, and a Practitioner. It is not about fixing grief or finding silver linings. It is about staying — with honesty, tenderness, and respect.

Mourning Midwife is both a new adventure and a love letter to community. An invitation to slow down, to pay attention, and to remember that care is something we do together.

This is where our journey begins.
